Kevin joined CORDET in H1 2015 and has over 28 years experience as an investment banker and corporate financier.  He currently holds the position of Group General Manager and Vice Chairman of Global Banking and Markets at HSBC. Kevin began his career at HSBC in 2006 as Global Head of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, became Head of Global Capital Financing and later took on the role of Global Head of Principal Investments. Prior to joining HSBC Kevin was Head of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance Europe at Morgan Stanley and a member of Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Underwriting Committee.  He joined Morgan Stanley in 1997 from Bankers Trust where he spent 10 years in leveraged finance and equity arbitrage.

Kevin holds a BA from Bradley University.

Rupert joined CORDET in H1 2015 and has over 25 years experience as a credit analyst. He spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley in the Credit, Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets (GCM) divisions. For the last 10 years Rupert was a Managing Director within GCM and headed the Credit Advisory group providing a critical function to the European Leveraged and Acquisition Financing department. His team provided credit and rating views for the purpose of pricing and structuring both pitches and transaction execution on essentially all European Corporate Non-Investment Grade transactions that Morgan Stanley had involvement with. In this role Rupert also advised over 50 Non-Investment Grade corporate clients through the process of gaining formal ratings from the leading ratings agencies. He joined Morgan Stanley’s Credit Department in 1997 and served as the Chairman of the International Industrials Credit Committee for a number of years, with responsibility for assigning and maintaining internal ratings.

Prior to his career at Morgan Stanley, Rupert spent 8 years at Standard & Poor’s, culminating in the role of Director. He was a Senior Corporate Credit Analyst covering a broad portfolio of Investment Grade and Non-Investment Grade names with lead analytical responsibility. Rupert holds a BSc from Bradford University in Geography and Politics, and an MBA (with distinction) from Cass Business School, City of London.

Chris joined CORDET as an Investment Professional in September 2016.  Chris focuses on UK origination and is based in the London office.  

Chris was previously at Lloyds for thirteen years, most recently as a Director in Mid Market Origination, Acquisition Finance, responsible for originating, structuring, and executing mid-market senior debt transactions. In his time in Acquisition Finance, Chris completed over 65 senior debt transactions in the Mid Market including Alpha FMC, Outcomes First Group and Imagesound in 2016. Prior to Lloyds, Chris was a civil engineer with Costain Ltd.

Chris holds a Masters in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Leeds.

Björn worked at Svenska Handelsbanken for 30 years in a number of different positions before retiring in 2011. As Executive Vice President he has been a member of the bank’s Group Management team since 1994 and at various stages has had the role of Head of Regional Bank of Southern Sweden, Chief Credit Officer for the SHB Group, Head of Markets division, Head of International division and during the financial crisis (from 2008 until his retirement in 2011) was responsible for SHB’s corporate governance and the Bank’s contacts with the authorities

Björn has been stationed in Stockholm and Malmö, but he has regularly visited all the bank’s units outside Sweden and kept regular contacts with central banks and supervisors outside EU in countries like China, Russia, Singapore and the US. Since retirement Björn has continued to be engaged in business and was appointed Chairman of the Board in Kommuninvest and is currently the Deputy Chairman of both the AP3 Swedish National Pension Fund and Swedfund International

Björn was educated at the University of Stockholm and received a Bachelor of Law degree in 1975. After a few years of district court training, he joined Lagerlöfs Law-firm (now Linklaters) and became a member of the Swedish Bar Association 1979.

With continued experience in the financial services industry, Steve's experience includes manager reporting at European Capital and Fund Reporting at a London fund administrator.

Prior to joining CORDET in 2013, Christian was part of Credit Suisse’s Financial Sponsor Group working on origination, structuring and execution of financings for LBOs and other private equity related transactions. Before that, he worked at StormHarbour and Dresdner Kleinwort in leveraged finance. Earlier in his career, Christian served in the Royal Danish Armed Forces (Navy).

Christian holds a MA (Honours) in Financial Economics from the University of St Andrews (2005) and an MBA from INSEAD (2011).

He speaks Danish (native), Swedish (fluent), Norwegian (fluent), German (conversational) and French (basic).

Katrin worked for 10 years as an Executive Assistant in the Equity Capital Markets Division supporting Russian and EMEA Teams, as well as in the Expense and Travel Co-ordination Team at Morgan Stanley. She then spent 2 years working as the Bookkeeper for a high-end Chocolate Factory.

Katrin is an IAB qualified bookkeeper and has a degree in Architecture. As well as support the CORDET Team, she successfully runs her own Virtual PA business.

Jan has extensive experience in business development, change management, transactions and restructuring from a large number of financial and industrial corporations. This has included the lead of several mergers, IPOs and acquisitions. The responsibilities have involved various international businesses with cultural, legal as well as recruitments and other professional challenges.

Major achievements were made as SVP head of large Corporates division and head of London operation in PKbanken ( now Nordea), CEO of Securum ( the Swedish benchmark restructuring corporate ), CEO of the Esselte Group (listed global office supply corporate), Vorstand (executive board member) in Dresdner Bank Group and CEO of its restructuring unit.

Jan was also Executive Chairman of Linebrook Ltd, Senior advisor to 3i, Founding partner of European Resolution Partners and member / Chairman of a large number of international corporate boards, i.a Akzo Nobel BV, Geveke BV, Servisair Plc, Nobel Biocare AG, Castellum AB, Posten AB.

Today he is non executive board member in Genworth Financial (international insurance), partner in Small Cap Partners (small cap PE firm) and active in K+Cie (investment,property and advisory activities).

Jan holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MA from Uppsala University.

Jakob has been an investment banker and corporate financier throughout his 31-year business career. Working at Morgan Stanley between 1990 and 2012, he was a senior member of the Firm’s investment banking and capital markets EMEA management team. Jakob is a financial services industry specialist, serving as a trusted advisor to many of Europe’s largest banks, insurers and asset managers. As Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Financial Institutions Group EMEA, he led more than 100 EMEA professionals in corporate finance and capital markets – the Firm’s largest practice area by revenue and number of professionals.
At Morgan Stanley, Jakob was stationed in London and New York, and also spent extended periods in Asia. He has executed projects in more than 25 countries, and has more than 200 announced career transactions to his name, of which more than $375bn in M&A and $125bn in Capital Markets.
Jakob was educated at the Stockholm School of Economics (Finance & Accounting) and Uppsala University (Russian Language and Eastern European Studies). He is a Lieutenant in the Royal Swedish Navy, having completed officer’s training as a Russian military interrogator at the Armed Forces Intelligence & Security Corps (TolkSkolan).

Magnus joined CORDET in Q4 2015 as an Investment Professional and Co-Managing Partner and Member of the ICC based out of the Stockholm office. Magnus brings +28 years of Investing experience through 3 credit cycles. Magnus is retiring from Triton, where he was a Senior Partner and Investment Professional. He developed the Nordic operations / teams in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen. Furthermore, he led the portfolio monitoring and development team and served as Chairman / NED in several portfolio companies.

Prior to his experience with Triton, Magnus served as Group Vice President and CFO of Autoliv, Inc. and served as Group Vice President, CFO, Chief Restructuring Officer in Perstorp Group. As a member of the Senior Executive team Magnus transformed Autoliv’s business through expansion to Asia both organically and via acquisitions (+10 acquisitions and +25,000 jobs moved) and led the cost savings program.

Magnus studied at the Stockholm School of Economics (Corporate Finance). He is a Sub-Lieutenant in the Swedish Coastal Artillery, having completed training at the Swedish School of Naval Warfare in Näsby Park, Sweden.

John began his career in 1988 as a corporate lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, where his practice primarily comprised international securities offerings, syndicated loans and project financings.

In 1993, John joined Morgan Stanley in London, where he worked for over 20 years in a variety of roles, most recently as Managing Director and Co-head of Global Capital Markets Execution EMEA, and Chairman of the EMEA Equity Underwriting Committee. As an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, John led the execution of more than $161 billion (€118 billion) of capital market transactions for EMEA corporates, financial institutions and governments across 23 countries. As Chairman of Morgan Stanley's EMEA Equity Underwriting Committee, John approved underwriting commitments for over 520 EMEA capital markets transactions.

John’s tenure at Morgan Stanley began in the Law Division, where he was legal advisor to the Investment Banking and Institutional Securities Divisions for six years. From 1999 – 2004, he was a member of the Investment Banking Division, responsible for execution of EMEA equity and high yield financings; and then served as Chief Operating Officer of Global Capital Markets EMEA, with a broad remit to manage the integration of debt and equity capital markets, leveraged finance and the derivative and structured product groups.

George holds a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University in the USA and a MSc in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

Henrik joined CORDET in May 2017. He previously held various positions at Deutsche Bank in London, most recently as an Associate in the Nordic Corporate Finance team in London. Other experience include internships with Deutsche Bank in London and with KPMG in Stockholm. 

Henrik holds a MSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
