On 16 December 2014, the UK Financial Conduct Authority authorised CORDET Capital Partners LLP as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).

The AIFMD became effective in the UK in July 2013 and governs the management, administration and marketing of alternative investment funds in Europe.

Jakob Lindquist, CEO of CORDET, said: “We are pleased to have been granted authorisation by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. Being regulated as a full-scope AIFM is consistent with CORDET’s commitment to the highest standards of governance and transparency for investors.”

Lars Nyberg, Chairman of CORDET’s Regulatory & Compliance Committee, said: “We have developed policies and operational procedures to reflect international best practice. The AIFM authorisation is an important milestone for CORDET.”
